Basel QF: Federer schools Korolev 6-3, 6-2
Posted Under: Uncategorized
Sadly I missed all Roger’s matches in Basel so far, but I couldn’t be happier hearing that he schooled an attacking Evgeny Korolev today in two easy sets. Roger is clinical, professional and ruthless. There has never been a player like him and there never will be. Period. I mean the guy is 28 years old and he makes the young guns look like a bunch of clowns. Respect. Next he faces his compatriot and Davis Cup team mate Marco Chiudinelli, who beat Richard Gasquet surprisingly easily 6-1, 6-3. Is this guy the next Roger Federer or what? Of course not
But anyway it is great to see another player from Switzerland having such great results. I guess these players are so inspired by Roger that Switzerland will soon be the next tennis powerhouse of the world.
Roger has never played against Chiudinelli and I’m sure there is another schooling on it’s way. Roger just loves this tournemant and he really looks to be in devistating form. Incredibly Djokovic survived Roger’s other Davis Cup teammate Stanislas Warinka 3-6, 7-6, 6-2. It is starting to look like a R0ger/Djokovic final isn’t it? Well Djokovic still has Radek Stepanek to deal with who beat Cilic in three sets. It’s a good win for Stepanek but I think Djokovic should beat him. In the mean time the tournament in Valencia is also going on, but who cares??? Roger Federer is back in town and that is all that matters!!!
I just want to thank everyone that has commented on my comeback post, it really made my day.

One of my readers said that she has been reading All I Need Is A Picket Fence while I was gone, but that it was not quite like my blog. That means a lot to me Veronica, because I respect Dootsiez’s blog and she is also a big supporter of Roger. Dotsiez’s if you are reading this, bless you girl! Thank you to Dolores, Aspa and Dippy also for your kind comments. I have missed you guys and I hope that Ines, Paul, Jason and all the others will show up soon as well. This is a special blog for me and it is not the same without you. OK enough of the emotional comeback for now. I have to head to bed again because I have to be at work 5 hours. I will be back with another post as soon as I can. Now make that a fifth title champ!

Roger is at his clinical best, 5 weeks rest is good for him. Hope he wins Basel this week and go deep in Paris next. This should set him up just nice in London. Dippylyc

Roger lost.Really inexplicable that he was broken twice.
After all he´s a human being, he can´t win everything.
A bad day, sure he´s disappointed as all of us.But it´s not the end of the world.Hope he can improve his play for Paris.I´ll be cheering for him every step of the way.As you can see Ruan Í´m officcially addicted to chocolate…
